- Interview student and parents, assess reasons for wanting a boarding school environment, understand goals and aspirations
- Evaluate student’s academic strengths and weaknesses, review academic history
- Communicate with the student’s school advisor/counselor/psychologist
- Thoroughly evaluate extracurricular activities, talents and interests
- Prepare comprehensive list of appropriate/suitable schools for the family to explore
- Explain differences in school environments
- Determine the viability of the student’s candidacy
- Prepare for campus visits, discuss interview techniques
- Review and proofread applications and essays, critique essays
- Follow up personally with each school that student applies to
- Privately administer SSAT (additional fee)
- Serve as a liaison between student and admissions officers
- Maintain ongoing personal communication between family and school
